SUMMARY

The Service Design Summit is an annual 2.5 day energizing and inclusive team building and training experience to inspire Truist’s Service Designers to build better lives and communities for themselves and beyond. My goal was to create both a digital and physical branding language and branding assets that the value and goal of the summit.

THe Objective

Foster a greater sense of belonging through team-building and training. Increase teammate engagement by demonstrating care for the whole person by investing in their well being, their skill set, and their careers.

Learn new skills and tools that are relevant and useful to Service Designers at Truist. Design and execute a well-organized, well communicated, and exciting offering that demonstrates the value of applied Service & Experience Design, hosting an experience for our peers that is meaningful and relevant.

The GOAL

To a create a strong visual identity that nods to the TRUIST visual identity while paying ohmage to the previous summits visual identities. Furthermore it needs to communicates the values of the summit, encouraging wholistic wellbeing, the exploration of skills and tools, collaboration, and inspires Truist’s Service Designers.

THE OVERVIEW

THE LOGO

One of the ways that Service designers at TRUIST, communicate is by creating journeys and touch points within a landscape. The logo communicates this message through a journey connecting the 'S' service to the 'S' summit through the touchpoints of 'D’ design, very much like how I, the designer, used design to service the ideas and intentions behind the summit.

The purple background behind the journey is representative of the landscape we work in at TRUIST, and the topographic view represents how we, every one of us, have our individual journeys in and outside of TRUIST. The deep orange color (harboring the meaning communication) in the stroke of the topographic view represents how our individual journeys will be celebrated during summit.
